The Sani Social: Why Group Travel at Greece’s Best Resort Needs a Logistics Architect

Let’s set the scene. You’ve finally convinced the whole gang: grandparents, the siblings, the cousins, and that one friend who is basically family: to go on a big group holiday. You’ve seen the photos of Sani Resort in Halkidiki: the turquoise Aegean Sea, the white sand beaches, and those impeccably styled suites. You’re ready for the "Sani Social" lifestyle.

But then, you open the resort map. Suddenly, you realise Sani isn’t just a hotel; it’s a 1,000-acre ecological reserve with five distinct hotels,
over 26 restaurants, a private marina, and enough pools to fill an Olympic stadium many times over. Your "quick booking" has turned into a project management nightmare.

This is where things usually go one of two ways: either you spend your "relaxing" holiday acting as an unpaid event coordinator, or you call in a luxury travel agency to handle the heavy lifting. As a luxury family holidays expert, I like to think of myself as your personal "Logistics Architect."
Here is why Sani is the ultimate group destination: and why you definitely don’t want to try and navigate it alone.

The Sani 'Maze': Which "Sani" are you?
The first hurdle in planning a group trip to Sani is realizing that "Sani Resort" is actually five different properties. Choosing the wrong one for your group's specific dynamic is the quickest way to ruin the vibe.

1. Sani Beach: The classic. It’s vibrant, close to the action, and has those iconic views of Cape Sani. Great for the "I want to be near everything" crowd.
2. Sani Club: Tucked away in the hills with a bit more privacy. It’s perfect for families who want a bungalow feel and a bit of peace and quiet (and some of the best sunset views on the peninsula).
3. Porto Sani: This is the heart of the Marina. It’s all-suite, very chic, and perfect for those who want to wander out of their room and straight into a boutique or a high-end bar.
4. Sani Asterias: The exclusive one. If your group wants total privacy, private beaches, and a "quiet luxury" atmosphere, this is it.
5. Sani Dunes: Think "grown-up" vibes. It’s sophisticated, has a massive lagoon pool, and is generally where the older teens and adults want to hang out.

Now, imagine trying to coordinate a group of 15 people across these five locations. If you put the grandparents in Sani Club (which involves some hills) and the toddlers in Sani Beach, you’re looking at a lot of shuttle bus coordination just to say "good morning." As your consultant, I don’t just book rooms; I architect the layout. I know which blocks are closest to the beach, which suites have the easiest pram access, and how to keep the group close enough to socialise but far enough away that you don’t hear your nephew’s 6 AM wake-up call.

The Dining Logistics: 26+ Restaurants and the 'Dine Around' Puzzle

Sani is famous for its Dine Around program. It allows you to eat at nearly all of the 26+ restaurants across the resort, either with a set menu or a credit toward the à la carte options. It is, quite frankly, a foodie’s dream.

However, for a large group, it can be a logistical headache.

Have you ever tried to get a table for twelve at a popular Greek taverna in the middle of July? Now try doing that seven nights in a row, across different venues, while managing one person’s gluten allergy, another’s "no seafood" rule, and a toddler who only eats plain pasta.

When you book through a luxury travel agency like R.G Travel, I take over the "Culinary Tetris." I handle the bookings weeks in advance, ensuring you have a table at the best spots: like Water for a fancy night out or Psaroyannos for a relaxed family dinner. I make sure the resort knows about the dietary requirements before you even land. You just turn up, sit down, and order the wine.

The 'Group Harmony' Factor: Room Proximity and Arrival Chaos

There is a science to keeping a group happy. It’s not just about the destination; it’s about the "Harmony Factor."

One of the biggest issues with large bookings on standard websites is that the computer doesn't care if your rooms are in the same building or even the same ZIP code. You could find yourself in a beautiful suite, only to discover your sister and her kids are a 15-minute golf-buggy ride away.

I work directly with the resort teams to ensure room proximity. I fight the battles for the connecting rooms or the adjacent villas so that the kids can run between rooms safely while the adults have a glass of wine on the terrace.

Then there’s the arrival. Groups rarely arrive at the same time. You’ve got the London flight, the Manchester flight, and that one cousin driving in from elsewhere. Sani offers free private transfers for stays of 5+ nights, but for large groups, this requires strict coordination with the resort at least two weeks in advance.

If you miss that window or miscalculate the luggage space for six golf bags and four car seats, you’re starting your holiday in a stress sweat. I manage that timeline so the only thing you have to worry about is which swimsuit to wear first.

Why a 'Logistics Architect' Beats a Booking Engine

Let’s be real: you’re busy. You’re likely the "organiser" of the group, which means you’re already the one chasing people for passport details and reminding them to pack sunscreen.

By the time you get to Greece, you deserve to be on holiday, not on "on-site management duty."

When I work with my clients on luxury family holidays, my goal is to make the complexity invisible. You shouldn't see the three emails it took to get the right high-chair in the room, or the phone call to move a dinner reservation because the kids spent too long in the pool.

I’m the "Logistics Architect" who builds the framework of the trip so you can just live in it. Whether it's arranging a private boat charter for the whole group from the Sani Marina or booking the teenagers into the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre, I ensure the itinerary flows without you having to check your watch every five minutes.

Ready to Master the Sani Social?

Sani Resort is arguably the best resort in Europe for a reason. It’s stunning, the service is world-class, and the memories you make there with a big group are life-changing. But don't let the "Maze" overwhelm you.

If you’re planning a multi-generational getaway or a big trip with friends for 2026 or 2027, let’s chat. I’ll handle the restaurants, the room placements, and the transfers, while you focus on the important stuff: like perfecting your tan and deciding which cocktail to order at the Beach House.
